OLYMPIC LODGE Bremerton, Washington Complete architectural and interior services for the 12,000 SF new Dining and Reception Center (DRC) that replaced the fire-ravaged historic Officer’s Club at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The DRC is situated in the middle of the historic senior officer’s quarters in the Shipyard. The design was executed in traditional brick and wood trim to echo the architectural style and character of the surrounding senior officer’s housing. It is the social hub for active duty, reserve and retired Naval Officers and senior enlisted personnel in the Puget Sound region. The facility includes meeting rooms for smaller events, banquet space for seating up to 350 people, full service catering kitchen and administration spaces. AKS was responsible for complete Architectural and Interior Design services – which included coordination of interior finishes, space planning and specification of furnishings for outfitting the entire facility - as well as programming, schematic design and cost estimating.
