NPREO SECURE WAREHOUSE San Diego, California This 108,000 square foot facility with an estimated construction cost of $14,000,000 contains warehousing with 20,000 SF of administrative and support facilities. Project efforts included roadway improvements, utilities, parking areas, landscaping, steel frame, tilt-up concrete construction and all interior finishes and furnishings. The fast-track design services included a Programming Study, and Final Design Documents and Comprehensive Interior Design Services. The interior services included comprehensive programming, space planning and specification of furnishings and workstations for outfitting the entire facility. Currently, we are providing Construction Management Services with construction completed in October 1998. Warehousing facilities incorporated a loading dock and supporting freight handling facilities. Administrative support facilities include reception and lobby spaces, high-profile conference rooms, teleconferencing, private offices for the director and supervisors, open plan workstations integrated with fiber optics, networked computer facilities, and lunch room. Architectural features include an outdoor courtyard for access by building occupants and the introduction of natural light into the warehouse via clerestory windows. Design of a high bay warehousing facility constructed of structural steel framing enclosed in concrete tilt wall panels, translucent wall units for natural light and reinforced metal siding to provide visual articulation. The administrative portion of the facility, also of structural steel framing is finished with a mix of split face concrete masonry units, metal siding, and glass masonry units as a source of natural light.
