FREMONT VILLAGE SQUARE Seattle, Washington This 30,000 square foot multi-use building is located on a prominent corner in the vibrant retail area of the Fremont District in Seattle. It houses retail tenants that include a drug store, bank, video store, offices, coffee shop, and florist shop. A living unit is located on the top floor with views to the Olympic Mountains. A central entry courtyard addresses the main retail street, featuring a sculpture and court design that continues the Fremont tradition of displayed art. Critical design problems centered on the desire by the developer for a contextual solution that would be embraced by the Fremont community.
